Lo Zulkir dell'Invocazione, un uomo alto e pericoloso dagli occhi neri, è l'unico Mago Rosso che detiene entrambi i titoli di Zulkir e Tharchion. Aznar è crudele, feroce, potente e rappresenta la sfida maggiore per Szass Tam ed il suo piano di rovesciare l'attuale sistema politico composto dagli Zulkir. Attualmente si muove per contrastare il lich aumentando il suo potere e cercando di diminuire quello del lich, invadendo il Rashmen in segreto. Tuttavia, se l'invasione fallisce, i suoi alleati, Lauzoril e Nevron, verranno incolpati al posto sua, lasciandolo intatto e in grado di continuare la sua opposizione allo Zulkir della Necromanzia.
